Weekly Wellness Blog: Wednesday March 25th
Even though the Wellness Blog is always virtual, this week it feels especially so. How are you doing after your first two days of virtual learning? Most of you, who I have spoken with, feel a bit overwhelmed and out of their element. Many of us feel like we are sitting in front of our screens too much and that it is hard to "turn it off". With all of the dings and pings from our various online sources, it can be challenging to balance our days. But, our community is so supportive and we are all in this together! Do your very best to honor your office hours and take breaks. If you are feeling especially down or overwhelmed, please reach out to a friend, a counselor, or your Wellness Coordinator! Remember, we are together...apart.
If you are like me and miss your routine & to-do lists, here is a little checklist that you should attempt to conquer everyday that we are on virtual learning.
- Read
- Eat Healthy (or just Delicious ;))
- Stretch
- Get Some Sunshine
- FaceTime a Friend
- Connect with Our Community*
- Clean(and think about how much you appreciate & miss your maid!)
- Move**
*We currently have two open community WhatsApp support Groups ... check below for details on how to join!
**Some people in our community are taking ample dancin' breaks ... check out below for how to join us for virtual Zumba on Friday!
Suggestions!
Usually, we like to post upcoming events and suggestions. Our biggest suggestion this week is to practice social distancing. Don't forget to think about your mental health and wellness. Take breaks from your virtual workload, get some sunshine when you can, and reach out to friends via Skype or Zoom! Join us for virtual Zumba or hunker down with a good book, check out the suggestions below...
Any other suggestions that you may have for your fellow colleagues? Drop a comment on this blog or email Keeley to be featured in next week's blog!
