Welcome back everyone. Hope all of you had a wonderful, peaceful, restful break and got to spend time with your family. Wishing you all a wonderful year ahead.
Wishing you all a very Happy Pongal. Pongal as you know is just around the corner. It is our version of Thanksgiving. To those who are new Pongal is a four-day festivity. It will be celebrated between the 14th and 17th of January. We dedicate it to the Hindu Sun God which matches also with Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival. The four day festivities include Thai Pongal, Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal. People celebrate Bhogi Pongal, a day prior to Thai Pongal. This the day we discard all the old stuff in our homes. You will experience a lot of smoke on this day as there will be a lot of burning happening in your area.
